Saints golfers undefeated

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy boys golf team is 2-0 after recent matches.

On Wednesday, the Saints headed to Midlothian, where they were hosted by Trinity Episcopal at the Salisbury Country Club. The teams took on the nine-hole, par-36 Monacan Course.

NSA won the match 155-160.

Chris Kapsak of Trinity was the medalist, shooting a 36.

The Saints were led by Trey Wren and Thomas Meyers, who both shot 38. Will Comer fired a 39 for the Saints.

Last Thursday, NSA hosted First Flight at the par-72 Sleepy Hole Golf Course in their first match of the season.

The Saints beat First Flight 325-343 in that match.

Medalist was NSA’s Trey Wren, who shot a 79.

Will Comer shot 80, Keith Cooper 82, and Stuart Brazil 84 to round out the Saints’ scoring.

Nansemond-Suffolk will host Hampton Roads Academy at Sleepy Hole in a non-conference contest today.
