The Summer Olympics are fast approaching, and you can participate in some of the same events in which the athletes in London will be competing.

The Hershey Track and Field Meet for Suffolk will be held at the King’s Fork High School track from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 19. Boys and girls ages 9 to 14 will be able to demonstrate their athleticism in running, throwing, and jumping.

This is a free event that will qualify some participants to advance to the North American Final Track Meet in Hershey, Pa.

Registration is required and will run April 2 through May 19. All participants must provide proof of age and complete a registration and waiver forms. Competitors may register online at www.hersheystrackandfield.com or at the Suffolk Parks & Recreation Administrative Office, 134 South Sixth St.
