Saints’ golfers extend record

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s golf team won against Christchurch and Stonebridge in a match played on the par-36 front nine of Sleepy Hole Golf Course.

The Saints had the low score at 160, followed by Stonebridge at 188 and Christchurch at 196.

Medalist was NSA’s Keith Cooper, who shot a 36.

Also for NSA, Will Comer shot 39, Trey Wren shot 41, and Thomas Meyers shot 44 to round out the Saints’ score.

The top three for Stonebridge were Brett Shaw, 39, Kyle Akins, 41, and David Hicks, 42.

Christchurch was led by Donny Lee with a 43.

The Saints are now 8-1 (2-1 TCIS) and will play Bishop Sullivan at Sleepy Hole on Tuesday in a conference match.
