“We shall always remember those early days when life and family was so complete. We shall never forget how you sacrificed, that all of us might have a better life. We cannot forget the years of struggle and strain, now with Christ you learned to conquer your pain. There are no words to adequately express, how much you’ve given that might be blessed. And so for now we say good night. You are with Christ and have fought a good fight. It won’t be long before we see you again, in that Great Day when our Lord shall reign.”

Elmira B. Jones entered into eternal rest on April 19, 2012. A native of Suffolk, she was a 1948 graduate of East Suffolk High School.
