Isle of Wight sheriff's deputies are seeking one of the two men they say were in this truck stealing copper from an Isle of Wight business last month.

The Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a man caught on surveillance footage stealing copper wire from a building on Carrsville Highway.

On April 13, the surveillance camera captured the images of two men in a multi-color, mostly red pickup truck with a ladder in the back, according to a news release from Capt. Rick Gaddis. The photo was taken behind a building at 1300 Carrsville Highway in the Airway Shopping Center, according to the release.

The Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help identifying the second man.

“Surveillance cameras of this type are being used throughout Isle of Wight County where there is a high risk of metal theft, particularly in locations that are abandoned or unattended,” Gaddis wrote in the release. “Metal theft is a regional problem.”
