Saints finish third in golf tourney

At the end of the two-day Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools tournament, the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy golf team finished in third place, behind Cape Henry and Greenbrier Christian.

The final scores for the tournament were as follows: Cape Henry, 582; Greenbrier Christian, 604; and Nansemond-Suffolk, 612.

Stuart Brazil and Trey Wren earned All-TCIS honors for the Saints. Brazil shot 75-73 (148) for fifth place, and Wren shot 77-77 (154) for ninth place. Keith Cooper shot 72-84 (156) and finished 12th.

The Saints will play in the VISAA Division II state tournament at Sleepy Hole on Monday.
