SUFFOLK — Roxie Marilyn Escajeda, 77, entered into eternal rest May 16, 2012, at home with her husband of 58 years by her side. She was the daughter of the late Susan and Samuel W. Misenheimer. Roxie was also predeceased by five brothers and three sisters. Roxie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her loving husband, Jose G. Escajeda; daughters, Sheila Escajeda Adams and husband, Daniel, Rose Brew, and Mary Escajeda-Chadil and husband, Rusty, all of Virginia Beach, Va.; granddaughters, Jamie, Raven, Amber, Brandan, Joanie, Ashley; grandson, Joey; great-grandson, Brayden; sister, Shirley Johnson; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, May 21, 2012, at noon at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, on Sunday, May 20, 2012, from 4 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chuckatuck Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 2164, Suffolk, VA 23432.
