Heavy rains that moved through the area this afternoon are causing some issues on roads throughout the city.
High water signs will be placed near the Kimberly Bridge in the 700 block of North Main Street because of high water on the outside lanes, according to a press release from the city.
In addition, the traffic lights at the intersection of Crittenden and Bridge roads are not working. Dominion Virginia Power is aware of the electrical outage and has sent workers to the location.
About 21 customers in Suffolk were out of power after the storm, according to an outage map on Dominion’s website.
