Ally Van Campen and Ben Epps were named Athletes of the Year during Isle of Wight Academy’s athletic awards program Wednesday. Van Campen was also named the basketball team’s Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year for the volleyball team. The daughter of Shaun and Jamie Van Campen also played soccer. Epps was named the Virginia Commonwealth Conference Offensive Player of the Year, a First Team All-State defensive back, a Second Team All-State quarterback, Most Valuable Player and First Team All Conference quarterback. The son of Hugh and Christine Epps was also named Most Valuable Player for basketball.
