Area private schools are well represented on the 2012 VISAA Baseball All-State teams.

From Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, Anthony Waldner was named to the first team.

Taylor Gomer of Isle of Wight Academy also was named to the first team, and IWA’s Aaron Flanagan was named to the second team.

Cape Henry Collegiate’s Jack Wynkoop was named Player of the Year, and Tim Hummel from that school was named Coach of the Year.
