Suffolk police are investigating a shooting that occurred Monday afternoon.

Police dispatchers received calls just before 4 p.m. about the shooting in the 100 block of North Capital Street, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.

A male victim with a gunshot wound to the arm was taken by ground ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. No further information was available on Monday afternoon.
