The Fire and Life Safety Camp teaches children how to shoot fire hoses, do basic first aid and more.

Applications for this year’s Fire and Life Safety Camp are due next week, so parents should get those applications for summer fun in soon.

The camp has four sessions scheduled this summer, beginning July 9 and running through Aug. 24.

The camp, for ages 7 to 10, is a half-day camp that features a variety of fun, challenging, entertaining and educational activities. The mission of the camp is to teach children safety lessons on things they encounter every day. Topics include firefighting, bicycle safety, water safety, search and rescue practices, first aid and much more.
