After an autopsy, no conclusive cause of death has been reached in the death of a man whose body was found in the bed of a pickup truck at a shopping center on Wednesday.
Police identified the body as Steven Lamar Young, 53, of the 300 block of Shadow Lake Drive in Chesapeake.
Police received a call about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday about the body in the bed of a white pickup truck that had been parked at the Suffolk Plaza Shopping Center.
The body was wrapped, city officials said Wednesday.
People at the shopping center told police the vehicle might have been there on Tuesday, according to city spokeswoman Debbie George. Employees at two different businesses told reporters on Wednesday they had seen the white pickup truck parked there as long ago as Friday.
Toxicology testing is being performed, according to a news release sent Thursday.
