Tech names outstanding senior

James Babb III, of Windsor, a senior majoring in agricultural technology at Virginia Tech, was named Outstanding Graduating Senior in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ Department of Agricultural Technology for the 2011-12 academic year.

Each year, the college honors one undergraduate student from each department for his or her academic achievements, leadership and experiences beyond traditional coursework. Of these students, a committee selects the overall outstanding senior for the college.

Nationally ranked among the top research institutions of its kind, Virginia Tech’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences focuses on the science and business of living systems through learning, discovery and engagement.
