Suffolk police are seeking suspects in an early-morning assault on Saturday, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.

The 31-year-old male victim reported being jumped by two black males near the intersection of Pine Street and West Finney Avenue and stabbed in the stomach, George said. Police got the report from Sentara Obici Hospital, where the victim had sought treatment.

The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, she said. There is no indication the incident was a robbery.
