Locals graduate from Air Force

Air Force Airman Tyrique X. Jackson recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an Associate in Applied Science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Jackson is the son of Valerie Jackson of Elmington Way, Suffolk. He is a 2011 graduate of King’s Fork High School.

Johnson is the son of Quay Young of First Avenue, Suffolk. He is a 2009 graduate of King’s Fork High School.
