A Carrsville man was killed in a head-on collision Friday evening on Route 258 near Windsor, according to Virginia State Police.

John David Rensch, 47, of the 1100 block of Old Oak Lane, died at the scene, police said. The other driver, Richard Clinton Parker Jr., 22, of the 32000 block of Oberry Church Road, Franklin, was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Parker lost control of his pickup north of Little Norfolk Road and drove into the path of Rensch’s compact car, police said. Weather played a factor in the accident, police said.
