John Lee Evans, 96, of 652 Third Ave., Suffolk, died Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. A wake will be held at the church on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Mt. Ararat Christian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. H.H. Murrill. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens on Airline Boulevard, Chesapeake. Crocker Funeral Home Inc. is handling the arrangements.
