Meagan Frederica Whitfield is the third runner-up in the Miss International Rhoer Pageant, held July 17, 2012, in New Orleans, La. Meagan also received an award for Rhoer of the Year 2012 in New Orleans and Rhoer of the Year 2012 in Washington D.C. The pageant is sponsored by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc.

Meagan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Jackson and Frederick A. Whitfield Sr., of Suffolk. She is a sophomore at Lakeland High School and a member of East End Baptist Church.

She is a member of the Suffolk Youth Advisory Council and a volunteer for the Children Health Investment Program. She is a member of the Rhoer Club, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., Norfolk Alumnae Chapter and a Del-Teen for Delicado’s Inc., Virginia Beach Chapter. She studies dance at the LWAD School in Norfolk, and piano at the Jubal Arts Center at East End Baptist Church. Meagan is a certified babysitter and event planner in the family’s event planning and catering business, ME-N-U Company.
