On Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, our beloved Rev. Eric Carver Johnson Sr. reached the end of his earthly journey and transitioned from labor to reward. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at Gilfield Baptist Church, Ivor, Va. Interment will be in Davis-Johnson Family Cemetery, Wakefield, Va. A visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gilfield Baptist Church. Crocker Funeral Home Inc., Suffolk, is handling the arrangements.
