Harry Thomas Holleman

OCALA, Fla. — Harry Thomas Holleman, 77, formerly of Suffolk, Va., died peacefully in his sleep on Aug. 3, 2012. He was born in Nansemond County, Va., on March 3, 1935. He was the son of the late Harry T. (Bob) and Elizabeth Brinkley Holleman. He was also predeceased by his first wife, Ona Sue Umphlett Holleman; brother, William Harrison (Billy) Holleman; and a grandson, Taylor Riddick Rice.

He is survived by his wife, Constance Rae Holleman; daughters, Sharon Holleman Rice and husband, Steven, of White Stone, and Sunnie Beth Holleman and partner, Lloyd Halstead, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; son, Robert Kent Holleman and wife, Lori, of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Kendall, Jordan and Mallory; and brothers, Melvyn L. Holleman and wife, Jenny, of Suffolk, and Jack L. Holleman, of Basye, Va.

Thomas retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of The Brotherhood of St. Andrew, a national men’s order affiliated with the Episcopal Church.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Aug. 25, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Suffolk.
