Mable Langston, 69, of 4476 Butler Drive, Suffolk, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Chadburn, N.C.

She retired as a packer at U.S. Surgical Company. She was a member of Palm Tree Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Thurman Langston; three daughters, Brenda Lee Thomas, of Dunn, N.C., Dorotha Anita Thomas, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Karen Denise Little (Gene), of Stone Mountain, Ga.; two sons, Anthony Thomas, of West Haven, Connecticut, and Christopher George Langston, of Suffolk; brother, Paul Thomas, of North Carolina; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at Palm Tree Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Anthony Sommerville. Interment will be in Langston Cemetery.
