Albert L. “June” Clark Jr. passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2012, from his long-term illness at Maryview Hospital in Portsmouth, Va. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert L. Clark Sr. and Alverta Scott-Clark, and a son, Albert Clark III, of Suffolk, Va.

Albert leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Damon Wade, of New York, N.Y.; two daughters, Yvonne and Dionne, of New York, N.Y.; one daughter-in-law, Gloria D. Clark, of California; two grandchildren, Madysen and Chad, of New York, N.Y.; three sisters, Cynthia Stovall, of Suffolk, Joyce Jacobs, of Richmond, and Marlene Holliman (James), of Suffolk; a brother, Harvey Clark, of Suffolk; an aunt, Sarah Ann Sugars, of Suffolk; an uncle, Claud Berry, of Suffolk; long-time companion, Edith R. DeLoatch, of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces and great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends at James and Marlene Holliman’s house, 610 Mason Ave., Suffolk, telephone 757-934-3048. A service of tribute will be held on Wednesday at noon at the East End Baptist Church. Harris Funeral Home has been entrusted with the service.
