To the editor:

While visiting family and friends in my hometown of Suffolk on Wednesday, I suffered a stroke while driving on Kilby Shores Drive and had an accident with a parked vehicle.

Manny Franco and Ms. Sterling, emergency medical personnel from the city of Suffolk, responded to the accident. Their professional attitude and demeanor were only outdone by their personal concern for me as a person and not just as an accident victim.

Along with Officer Ben Johnson of the Suffolk Police Department, these are truly fine examples of Suffolk’s finest. Their actions truly made a difference in my situation. I owe them more than my gratitude, since it was only because of their immediate action that I am able to type this letter today.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, from this Suffolkian for life and from my family. Thank you for making a difference in my life.
