Prissy is freed from the drainage pipe where she suffered for two days before being found.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue and Suffolk Animal Control workers teamed up to free Prissy, an elderly Sheltie, from an underground drainage pipe in the 1600 block of Copeland Road on Thursday.

Prissy had gone missing on Tuesday and was discovered Thursday. Firefighters had to hand-dig a three-foot hole to reach the dog.

Unfortunately, Prissy later had to be euthanized at the veterinarian because of the trauma suffered and because she already had brain cancer.
