Shirley M. Brown, 61, a loving mother, granny, sister and aunt, passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2012. She is predeceased by her parents, Ann F. and Joseph A. Harris Jr., and grandson, John Michael Wilkins. She was a member of St. Mary of the Presentation Catholic Church, Suffolk.

She is survived by her son, Kelly Brown; daughters, Tiffany Lester and Mary Wilkins and husband, Brian; grandchildren, Tyler Lester, Kelly Lester and Mathew Wilkins, all of Suffolk; brothers, Joseph Harris Jr. and wife, Betty Joe, Barry Harris and Diane, and John Harris and wife, Laurie; sisters, Donna Winslow and husband, Ronnie, and Cheryl Keith and husband, Russell; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Micah Voight. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the R.W. Baker & Company Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, Va., and other times at the home of Tiffany Lester in Windsor.
