Following are this week’s Player of the Week nominees:

• Antonio Jefferson, senior wide receiver for Lakeland — Combining rushing and receiving, he accounted for 212 yards on offense, running for 117 of them in the third quarter against Maury on Friday. He scored two touchdowns, one rushing and one receiving.
• Casey Wood, senior libero for the Nansemond River girls volleyball team — She had 26 service points with two runs of 10 against Indian River on Tuesday. Coach Christine Wood identified her as someone the team will definitely miss next year.
• Ryan McClain, senior running back for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy — He ran 12 times for 126 yards and three touchdowns against Norfolk Christian and also had two receptions for 28 yards, leading the Saints in both rushing and receiving.
• Deshaun Wethington, freshman running back for King’s Fork — He racked up 114 yards rushing on eight carries with two touchdowns against a Nansemond River defense that had limited Grassfield’s potent backfield to 23 yards the week before.
