Carrsville man missing

UPDATED Tuesday 11:20 a.m.: Bobby Tyree was spotted by friends of his family just before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Holiday Food Store on Second Avenue in Franklin. He is in good health, according to a press release from the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office. The details of his disappearance are not readily available, but it appears Tyree went for a drive and did not return until sometime this morning, according to the release.

Monday: The Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance finding a missing Alzheimer’s patient.

Bobby Tyree, 78, was last seen at his home on Hunt Club Road in Carrsville on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. He was wearing blue jeans and a plaid shirt, and is described as a white male with brown eyes and brown hair, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 190 pounds.

He also is diabetic and suffers from heart disease, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
