WAKEFIELD — Mary R. Jefferson, 63, passed away on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, in Sentara Obici Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Frederick Jefferson and Ruby Hill.

Survivors include one sister; four brothers; a stepfather; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the chapel. Interment will be held in the Suffolk Nansemond Cemetery. Arrangements by Shivers Funeral Chapel, Smithfield.
