To the editor:

Thanks, Suffolk News-Herald, for once again highlighting the importance of our nation’s constitution.

I wholeheartedly agree with the assertion that the Constitution needs to be studied. As we prepare for the November elections, I often feel our leaders have forgotten the very foundation of our constitutional principles and the struggles our forefathers endured while framing the United States’ unique form of government.

That is why I support leaders, like Congressman J. Randy Forbes (R-4th), who vow to serve and protect the Constitution. His membership in the Congressional Constitutional Caucus is an example of his desire to preserve the principles of our Constitution.

I pray other leaders will join Congressman Forbes’ efforts to ensure that our individual liberties through the Constitution are protected and preserved.
