Missing Isle of Wight man sought

UPDATED Thursday 8:40 p.m.: Williams returned home safe on Thursday.

Isle of Wight law enforcement officers are seeking a man with early-onset dementia who has not been seen since Tuesday.

Ed Williams, 65, was reported missing Wednesday night by his wife. He had called her at 10 a.m. Tuesday to say he was leaving Langley Air Force Base, where he had gone to pick up prescription medication, to head back home.

He never came home and has not answered any calls to his cell phone, according to a press release from Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office.

Williams is black and has gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in a gray 2007 Infiniti four-door sedan.

Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call the Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office at 357-2151.
