Following are this week’s Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week nominees:

• Quinby Hines, senior setter for Nansemond-Suffolk volleyball — Over the course of three games this past week, she accumulated 129 assists and three aces. Seventy came in a five set win over Cape Henry.
• Miguel Ramos, senior cross country runner for King’s Fork — For the second time this year, he broke his own school record in the 5K. He set a record time of 18:09.64 in late September and topped it with a time of 17:32.34 this past Thursday.
• Raekwon Johnson, senior running back for Lakeland — He ran for effectively against undefeated Grassfield for 107 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.
