Bertha Williams Ford was born on Sept. 20, 1934. She was the wife of the late James Willie Ford.

She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church Mahan for more than 40 years until her failing health.

Bertha leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Tabatha Ford; son, Willie “Winzel” Ford; two sisters; grandchildren, Terrell Godwin, Tachela Godwin, Ryan Winborne, Courtney Ford and Ayanna Harris; and many other family and friends.

Ms. Ford will be on view at T.E Cooke-Overton Funeral Home Inc. today from 1 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will take place at First Baptist Church Mahan on Friday at 1 p.m., and she will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
