Theodore Everett, 86, of 3416 Nansemond Parkway, Suffolk, departed this life on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was a native of Southampton County and the son of the late John S. and Annie B. Everett. He was a lifelong member of Canaan Baptist Church for 75 years. He was predeceased by his two brothers, James and Joe; two sisters, Ethel E. Godwin and Christine Garrison.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Frances Everett; one son, Raymond (Liz); eight daughters, Delphine Taylor, Veta E. Cowling (Vince), Vanessa E. Newsome, Yvette E. Artis (Gary), Velma D. Taylor, Cressandra Felton (Calvin), Frances E. Cohen (Richard) and Sharon E. Hardin (Ronald); one brother, Timothy Everett; four sisters, Georgie E. Pope, Thelma Hicks, Dorothy Cohen (William), Inez Lassiter; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at Canaan Baptist Church, Suffolk, on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at noon. Interment will be at Canaan Church Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
