Thomas Elvin “Tommy” Richards Jr., 58, passed away Oct. 31, 2012, at Nansemond Pointe. He was the son of Betty May Richards and the late Thomas E. Richards Sr.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his son, Owen Richards Davis, of Suffolk; daughter, Lisa Gwynn Richards, of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sisters Lynn Blyth, Cathy Byrum and Teresa Norfleet.

A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Robert F. Cofield in Holly Lawn Cemetery. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family. Condolences may be registered at www.rwbakerfh.com.
