Malcolm Neville Tabor

Malcolm Neville Tabor, 84, died Nov. 2, 2012. Neil was born in Pulaski, Va., to Dora Jenkins Tabor and Joseph Jackson Tabor. He met and married the love of his life, Reba, in 1952 and later moved to Virginia Beach eventually settling in Carrsville.

Neil was a retired U.S. Navy veteran serving during both World War II and the Korean conflict. He also worked for the Civil Service at the fuel depot on Craney Island and for the Naval Air Station Norfolk for 10 years.

Tabor

Neil was a Master Gardener and an accomplished woodworker. He spent many hours in his shop making items that he gave to family and friends. He was always willing to share his love and knowledge of woodworking and gardening with others.

He was a long time member of Western Branch Baptist Church, Suffolk, Va.

He was predeceased by his wife, Reba L. Tabor and his son, Timothy Neville Tabor.

Neil is survived by his son, Malcolm G. Tabor and wife Sydney, his grandchildren, Sharon Tabor Gardier, Joseph, Timothy, Christopher and Jared Tabor, and nieces and nephews in the Pulaski area.

The family would like to thank Neil’s many loving neighbors and friends for their compassion and care. He loved your visits and enjoyed your food.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Western Branch Baptist Church, 6952 Old Myrtle Road, Suffolk, VA 23434.
