Remember what unites us

We spend the weeks and months leading up to an election focusing almost entirely on what things are wrong with our country, so much so that we often lose sight of what is still right.
We fight over what our role in the world should be, forgetting that we only go to war to protect what makes us uniquely American. We argue amongst ourselves over the role of our own government, yet we still have the freest form of government the world has ever known. We battle over debt and taxes, often losing sight of the fact that we are the most blessed nation God has ever seen fit to put on this earth.
These differences of opinion should not divide us. Instead, we should remember that the fact that we can have such differences actually unites us. The right to speak our minds and to differ publicly is one of the greatest freedoms we have.
The United States of America is a land of rights and freedoms, bought and paid for many times over with the blood of heroes and patriots.
Of all the rights we retain, none is more valuable than our right to vote. Don’t let it go to waste. Get out and vote today.
