Flossie Green Saunders-Eure

Flossie Green Saunders-Eure, 95, left her earthly life to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012.
Mrs. Flossie Eure was a native of Seabord, N.C., born March 14, 1917, to the Late John and Mollie Pierce Green. She was the widow of the late Lee Curtis Saunders and Elder Carl E. Eure Sr. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Curtis Lee Callis; a son, Kelly D. Saunders Sr.; three sisters, Rosa Baker, Johnnie Wyche and Louise Langston; four brothers, Henry Green, James Taylor, Arthur Langston Jr. and Riverson Langston.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Bettie White, Mary Edith Saunders, and Carolyn Palmer (James); four sons, Robert M. Saunders, Joe Bernard Saunders (Mary), George W. Saunders, and Harry V. Saunders (Serena), all of Suffolk, Va.; two brothers, Raymond Langston (Midget), of Suffolk, Va., and Redell Langston (Mollie), of Maryland; a niece and caregiver, Annette Baker-Battle; 29 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Flossie S. Eure was a long time faithful servant of the Lord who attended multiple churches in the community. She was a missionary of the Faith Temple Apostolic Faith Temple for many years. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Funeral services will be held at Rising St. James Pentecostal Holiness Church, 201 N. Sixth St., Suffolk Va., on Monday, Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. Wyatt & Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
