Cecil Thomas Edwards, 59, of Windsor, Va., passed away on Nov. 15, 2012. A native of Nansemond County, Va., he was the son of the late William Thomas Edwards and Mary Elizabeth Dickerson Edwards. He was also predeceased by a sister, Violet Stafford, and a brother, William H. Edwards. Cecil was a mechanic employed by the city of Suffolk and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Shaun and Angela Edwards; sisters: Toni Shank, Marion Burden, Jane Pittman, Evelyn Bristow and Edith Jean; brothers:  Dudley Edwards and Paul Edwards; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Western Branch Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Micah Voight officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the home of Toni Shank.  Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Western Branch Baptist Church, 6952 Old Myrtle Road, Suffolk, VA 23434.
