James “Jim” Allen Goodwin, 73, of Suffolk, Va., went home to be with the Lord at 12 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Missionary Church, 545 Turlington Road, Suffolk, VA 23434, with Pastor Lin Stanworth officiating. Entombment will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434.
