Franklin—Audrey Anne Darden “Daisy” Carr, 80, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at the East Pavilion, Franklin.
She was a daughter of the late Whittie Lee Darden and Elsie Virginia Price and the widow of Benjamin Marvin Carr. She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy “Dot” Perry.
Mrs. Carr retired as a pharmacy assistant, a homemaker, a farmer’s wife and a former member of the Prime Time Singers and of Western Branch Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn C. Harris and husband Robert of Pungo; a son, C.L. Carr and wife Carol of Suffolk; three grandchildren, Tiffany D. Fowler and husband Mark, Kaitlyn Harris and Rudd Harris; a great-granddaughter, HaleyAnne Fowler; a brother W.L. Darden Jr. of Franklin; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her Western Branch Church Family and a special friend, Lizzie Darden.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Western Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Micah Voight officiating. The burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin.
