Rev. Brenda Boone and Higher Praise Community Choir Ensemble of Hampton Roads recently traveled to England on tour for concerts in Birmingham and London on Oct. 17-26, 2012.

During the choir’s two-week tour, they were featured on Great Britian’s international radio broadcast on Sunday, Oct. 21 with a musical a cappella rendition of “Wonderful God,” which was heard internationally. Upon request, Rev. Brenda Boone also conducted a workshop with the choirs of Birmingham, England.

The tour was promoted by the Rev. Dr. Joyce Foster, a retired professor of Norfolk State University. The English host was the Rev. Eve Pitts, priest of The Church of England, Church of the Queen, Birmingham, England.

This was not the first international tour for the choir. In 2010, it toured in France for three weeks and had its return delayed when the Eyjafjallajokull volcano erupted in Iceland, which disrupted air travel with the plume of ash.
