IWA boys beat Brunswick

Isle of Wight Academy’s boys’ basketball team rode a strong third quarter to vault past Brunswick Academy 78-60 on Tuesday.
IWA led 38-31 at halftime but exploded early in the third period with a 15-4 run to take a commanding lead of as many as 30 points.
Nathan Sivertson had 17 of his 30 points in that quarter to lead the Chargers, finishing with a game-high 10 rebounds. Teammate Austin Rogers had six points during that same stretch, to go with a 19-point performance against the homestanding Vikings.
R.J. Wells had a season-high 12 points, including a three-pointer, and Hunter Triplett had 8 points, including two from behind the arc.
IWA is 2-0.
