Willie Mirtha Dildy, 96, of 1202 FDR Court, Suffolk, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Autumn Care of Suffolk. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Eddie Williams and Ava Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Motzell Dildy.

She attended Nansemond County Public Schools and was a housewife. Ms. Dildy was a member of Palm Tree Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Marian Greene, of Long Island, N.Y., and Cheryl Lee (Gerald), of Norfolk, Va.; one son, James O. Sweatt Jr. (Cynthia), of Stafford, Va.; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. Anthony Somerville. Interment will be in Benton Family Cemetery.
