Police are investigating a report of a robbery that took place about 10:22 p.m. Wednesday.
An officer responded to the emergency room at Sentara Obici Hospital and spoke with the victim. The victim said he and two friends were sitting in the living room at his home in the 100 block of Herman Court when a white male with a pistol and a black male with a rifle entered the residence, according to city spokeswoman Diana Klink.
The victim said the suspects demanded money from him and hit him in the head with the pistol when he said he didn’t have any.
One of the assailants then reached into his pocket and took his money and wallet. The attackers then reportedly bound the men’s wrists, took Christmas gifts from under the tree and left the residence.
The victims were able to cut their ties and transport the wounded man to the emergency room.
The investigation is ongoing, Klink said.
