VIRGINIA BEACH — On Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, Clara Louise Richardson entered eternal rest. She was born on Dec. 17, 1920, in Suffolk, Va., to Albert and Louise Laury.

Clara is preceded in death by her husband, James “Jack” Richardson; mother, Louise Laury; father, Albert Laury; brother, William “Bro” Laury; sisters, Marie Jordan and Vera Mae Phillips.

She leaves in precious memory one aunt, Adelaide Montgomery, six loving nieces, Rebecca Jackson (Jim), Anntionita Hyman (Lou), Valerie Phillips, Una Phillips, Sharyl Baskfield (Carrol) and Joyce Phillips; one nephew, Marvin Laury; a devoted caretaker, William “Lou” Hyman; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at 11 am at Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church, 7036 Chesapeake Blvd. in Norfolk, Va. The family will receive visitation on Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Hale Funeral Home, 2100 Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23504.
