Police work the scene of an accident caused by high winds on the Godwin Bridge Friday morning.

Traffic along Bridge Road was backed up for much of Friday after a morning accident on the Godwin Bridge.

High winds blew a mobile home off a tractor-trailer around 10:36 a.m., according to a city press release. The mobile home weighed an estimated 20,000 pounds.

Both lanes of the bridge were closed until about 2 p.m., causing massive backups on both sides and detour routes.
