John Thomas “Mr. Tee” Edwards, 74, retired barber and native of Suffolk passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013. He was the son of the late Earnest and Janie Edwards.
Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Margaret Chambliss Edwards, four daughters, one son, 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three brothers, one sister and many relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from noon to 5 p.m., and a wake will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. The family will receive visitors at 104 Carriage House Drive in the Hillpoint section of Suffolk. A funeral will be held at noon Tuesday at Gates of Heaven Church, 112 Beech St., and he will be laid to rest in the T.E. Cooke-Overton Garden of Carver Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Metropolitan Church Federal Credit Union, located at 129 County St., to the John T. Edwards Memorial Fund.
