“Each menu will also feature a healthy choice selection to celebrate Smithfield On The Move’s ‘Order Healthy’ project,” according to a news release announcing the event.

The Order Healthy project, intended to help customers make smart nutritional choices at local restaurants, places “Order Healthy” stickers on menus for dishes with fewer calories, fewer calories from saturated fat, less sodium and no trans fat.

The Obici Healthcare Foundation provided the Town of Smithfield a grant to develop Smithfield on the Move and the Order Healthy Project.

Visitors to participating eateries during Restaurant Week are encouraged to fill out response cards, placing them in the running for prizes.
