UPDATED Saturday 11 a.m.: Roads closed because of ice, including several entrance and exit ramps on U.S. Route 58, have reopened.
Some areas of roadway may remain dangerous, so drivers should use caution when traveling, according to a press release from the city.
Friday evening: The exit ramps from U.S. Route 58 east to Pruden Boulevard, as well as from Route 58 west to downtown, are currently closed because of ice.
In addition, ice has closed the on- and off-ramps to Route 58 at Godwin Boulevard.
Ice has also been reported in the 5000 block of Godwin Boulevard.
Drivers are urged to use extreme caution while on the roadways. Emergency responders continue to work numerous accidents throughout the city.
“Public Works crews are working diligently to clear the roadways so that the ramps can be reopened,” stated a city press release.
